Some of the most iconic images of Cleveland are the bridges of the Cuyahoga River and the Terminal Tower. These hulking steel structures remind all who see them of the city's glorious manufacturing past. These draw bridges and the Terminal Tower still stands proud after 100 years shining bright. The Cuyahoga name is Iroquoian meaning "crooked river." With the opening of the Cleveland to Akron section of the Ohio and Erie Canal in 1827 the Cuyahoga river became a center of commercial transportation and, as a result the Cleveland area became an industrial powerhouse in the 1800's and early 1900's. Photography has been a life long passion of mine. I have had a camera in my hands since I was in third grade and even have an antique camera collection with a few dating back to the 1890's. I feel every photograph should tell a story and capture a unique or memorable moment in time.
