Description
The Beech 18 is considered the first real executive aircraft. Designed in the late 30's it could seat up to 11 and, later models had twin R-985 Pratt & Whitney engines which provided for long range and superior speed for the time. Thousands of these were built and many were used during WWII. These aircraft have been owned by notable people such as Jackie Cochran (who was the first woman to break the sound barrier) and Merv Griffin. There is even a Beech 18 even flown in airshow and aerobatic routines by aerobatic pilot and all around great guy, Matt Younkin.
