All tires used in every NASCAR race are Goodyear tires and they are actually supplied to the teams by NASCAR mounted on NASCAR steel rims to keep a level playing field for everyone. So, at every NASCAR event you will see acres of tires and rims mounted and balanced by NASCAR ready to be given to each race team prior to the race. And no, they don't get them for free and no, they don'y have a choice.....
