Description
Every picture tells a story, right? I was driving between Cleveland and Dayton to look at a muscle car for sale and as usual, I brought all my camera gear with me. While driving south on I-71 the sun was coming up and I noticed a beautiful little pond on the the east side of the freeway and my friend noticed me staring at the situation and stated "I suppose you want me to stop?" Well, I said of course I do. I grabbed my gear and ran across 6 lanes of freeway traffic and set up to capture this shot. It was the most peaceful and serene 10 minutes I can remember. I could actually hear the two guys in the canoe talking to each other as they were drifting in the canoe. I captured this, and a few other shots on Kodak Ektachrome, then gathered my equipment and ran across the 6 lanes of traffic to get back into the truck, finish our drive to Dayton and bought the 1970 Boss 429 Mustang we came to look at. This, to me is one of those iconic images that instantly brings back the moment I was there and the memories of my friend and I spending the day driving down to Dayton to buy the Boss 429 Mustang. It always brings a smile to my face.
