Description
While visiting California I drove to Santa Barbara for the weekend and walked around with my camera, as I usually do. I purposely ended up at the harbor close to sunset so I could try and get some sunset shots. It was cold and windy and while the sun set behind me, I was rewarded with a little color towards the east as the sun went down. I was most impressed by the number of people who came out to watch the sunset in the harbor. There was one women whom I will never forget who was probably about 80 years old. She was sitting on one of the many concrete benches in cold weather attire with a wool blanket draped over her lap. She was there just to watch the calm and peaceful sunset and my guess is she visits often. This will be a fond memory for me as I could understand why she really enjoyed her time there watching the beauty of the harbor as another day came to a close.
