Once in a while you get lucky and get the image of a lifetime. I was certainly lucky this weekend when I was able to snap this one. Chase Elliott is one of those rare, young, talented and all around nice guy who chooses to race cars at 200 MPH in the NASCAR circuit. I was purposely trying to get a few good action shots of him at Texas Motor Speedway this weekend and was able to set up in an empty pit stall in pit row. Panning an image like this can be hit or miss but, in this case, I panned and hit the shutter button just once and I got him stop action right at the start finish line and in front of the flag stand. The car is tick tack sharp while everything else is a blur, which is how I wanted to get this shot. Capturing it at the moment the car hit the start finish line was an added bonus.
