Chase Elliott is one of those rare, young, talented and all around nice guy who chooses to race cars at 200 MPH in the NASCAR circuit. I was purposely trying to get a few good action shots of him at Texas Motor Speedway this weekend and was able to set up in an empty pit stall in pit row. Panning an image like this can be hit or miss but, in this case, I panned and hit the shutter button just once and I got him stop action right at the start finish line and in front of the flag stand. The car is tick tack sharp while everything else is a blur, which is how I wanted to get this shot.
If you have never heard of Chase Elliott, I suggest you look him up. He is an amazing and talented young driver at only 22 years old. He has been competing in racing events since he was 13 and won the 2014 NASCAR Nationwide Series Championship becoming the first rookie to ever win a National Series NASCAR event, at age 19! His father is the legendary NASCAR driver, Bill Elliott.
